Job Summary

CommunityCare Kistler clinic qualifies for $50,000 NHSC Loan Repayment Program in addition to our $10,000 Recruitment Incentive. CommunityCare Kistler is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our primary care office in Wilkes Barre, PA. Bilingual in Spanish and English is helpful, but not required.

Job Duties

The CommunityCare Kistler clinic qualifies for the *NHSC Loan Repayment Program which is the National Health Service Corps for up to $50,000 with a two-year initial term. Advanced Practitioner must be able to see all age ranges, Pediatric to Geriatric. Bilingual in Spanish and English is helpful but not required.

Advanced Practitioners perform initial assessment and triage of patients based on information obtained pertinent to presenting condition.

  • Keeps track of pertinent procedure and laboratory results, discusses with physician, and returns call to family and patient regarding the results and plans.

  • Assists with arranging appropriate follow-up for the patients.

  • Answers and returns phone calls from established patients and their families and assess the needs of patient and family.

  • Discusses plan with the physician and relays information to the family and patient.

  • Obtains or assists in the preauthorization process for medications, diagnostic studies, and treatments which the employee is qualified to perform.

  • Screening patients.

Education

Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s)

Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
