Pain Medicine Physician
Job Summary
A physician who provides a high level of care, either as a primary physician or consultant, for patients experiencing problems with acute, chronic and/or cancer pain in both hospital and ambulatory settings.
Job Duties
Geisinger is seeking a BC/BE Fellowship-trained Pain Medicine Physician to join it's already established, innovative, and comprehensive interventional pain practice at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre (GSWB). The qualified candidate will join a talented team of one Physician and three Physician Assistants. The pain specialists at GSWB diagnose and treat a range of pain-related conditions by utilizing advanced techniques to treat pain symptoms. Interventional and medical pain management services include epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, facet injections, spinal cord stimulation, and radiofrequency ablation. The GSWB pain clinic is an active teaching site for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and there are plans in the upcoming year for the addition of an Interventional Pain Fellowship. Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre: (GSWB), located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., provides high quality medical services for all ages. Families from all over northeastern Pennsylvania choose GSWB for emergency services, sleep studies, same-day and short-stay surgeries, pain management, rehabilitation and more. The facility is easy to access with ample nearby parking. Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre is a campus of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
