Abdominal Imaging Radiologist - Onsite | 1 week on / 1 week off
Job Summary
Join Geisinger, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare innovation, and become part of a collaborative team of more than 90 radiologists. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Radiologist with completed Abdominal Imaging or Body Imaging fellowship training to support our growing onsite Body Imaging practice. This position features a predictable 1 week on / 1 week off schedule, offering extended time away from work and a sustainable onsite clinical model. The role is expected to include approximately 80-90% abdominal imaging, with limited chest/general body coverage.
Job Duties
Work onsite in a 5-day reading block (Mon-Fri), followed by 9 consecutive days off
Interpret a focused abdominal imaging case mix, including dedicated days on body CT, body MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy
Work with an approximate modality mix of 50% CT, 20% MRI, 20% ultrasound, 5% x-ray, and 5% fluoroscopy
Support high-volume oncology, liver, pancreatic, GI, and IBD imaging, with continued growth across these areas
Utilize advanced imaging resources, including five 3T MRI scanners used for prostate and rectal imaging, DynaCad for prostate MRI, TeraRecon, dedicated 3D lab support, and AI dictation tools
Geisinger performs approximately 80 abdominal MRI studies per day across the system, with expected abdominal MRI productivity of approximately 25-30 studies per day
Participate in multidisciplinary body imaging conferences and tumor boards, generally occurring 1-4 times per month, with RVU credit provided for preparation and presentation
Engage in daily resident interaction, teaching opportunities, research support, and academic appointment eligibility through Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine
Position Details
$140,000 starting bonus
Competitive compensation starting at $525,000, with higher salary consideration based on experience
