Application Administrator Team Lead
Job Summary
Works with leadership to identify enterprise application software needs and oversees activities to deliver appropriate business and aligned solutions. Manages a team of resources and responsible for ensuring adequate resources are allocated based on project requirements. Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher management levels.
Job Duties
- Assumes primary responsibility for the application administration team regarding job performance.
- Assists with the budget process regarding system, utility, and application software strategy.
- Investigates, reviews, and recommends new software tools, application platforms, monitoring, and performance enhancement tools and creates a detailed roadmap for the application of those tools.
- Assesses the need for, facilitates the acquisition of, and maintains an inventory of applications, software, and related tools and processes that assist in performing application management including automation.
- Ensures there is an effective system performance problem reporting process that is being followed Performs application administration activities in addition to overseeing team work activities.
- Ensures the efficient and effective use of application administration activities through the development and monitoring of KPIs.
- Reports status and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develops training and mentoring activities for the application administration team to develop relevant skills and competencies.
- Identifies the need for and develops necessary training for other IT and business areas to understand the overall process and their roles in application administration efforts.
- Acts as a project leader and a subject matter expert on multiple and complex projects.
- Provides oversight into all activities of the team.
- Responsible for all human resource activities for the team, including hiring, performance management, contributing to increase and promotion recommendations, career development, corrective action, and recommendations for termination.

Position Details
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in health plan payer organizations supporting provider, enrollment, claims, or finance related to core claims processing
- Experience supporting core claims processing systems such as Trizetto/Cognizant Facets
Education
