Auto Mechanic
Job Summary
Provides skilled maintenance and repair services for Geisinger vehicles and other gasoline operated equipment.
Job Duties
- Performs state inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoots and repairs vehicles, including rebuilding engines and repairing transmissions.
- Maintains and repairs gasoline operated equipment such as mowers, lawn trimming equipment, snow plows and sweepers.
- Fuels vehicles.
- Washes and cleans vehicles.
- Maintains garage inventory and submits requisitions for parts and materials as needed.
- Assures that registration and insurance cards are up to date.
- Fills out job completion forms and maintains vehicle records.
- Makes repairs on emergency generators as needed Performs daily checks of the unleaded fuel usage and record accordingly to state requirements as needed.
- Performs needed repairs and maintenance to all motor vehicle air conditioning systems.
- Maintains records to record all usage and purchases of all refrigerant gases while performing repairs.
- Operate a computer for access Archibus and Web Central to generate work orders and close out work orders.
