Director Strategic Sourcing
Job Summary
Comprehensive and strategic oversight of all supply chain sourcing efforts for assigned portfolio of categories. Accountable for achieving financial targets. Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to identify opportunities, deliver value, and meet patient needs. Influences and negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts while minimizing risk. Supervises, coaches, and assesses team members to improve performance and develop talent.
Job Duties
- Builds and fosters long-term relationships with internal leaders and suppliers, owning end-to-end delivery of business needs for categories under management.
- Identifies and understands key initiatives of business unit and short, medium, and long-term goals; ensures alignment of sourcing strategies and initiatives with leaders’ expectations.
- Drives the adoption of change practices with business leaders, suppliers and stakeholders to advance strategic programs; and interacts with senior leadership to accelerate decisions.
- Leverages data, advanced analytics, and insights to actively identify opportunities to achieve supply expense reduction, defines strategy for achievement and removes barriers to successful implementation.
- Responsible for supplier relationship management and independently persuades, influences and negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts with suppliers to meet the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Optimizes contract portfolio for hundreds of products, equipment and service agreements and reduces risk to the organization.
- Demonstrates advanced expertise of markets, suppliers, and related products, equipment and services that optimize quality, service, risk, utilization, standardization, innovation and cost across the system.
- Ensures all bidding activity within the category is conducted in an open, fair and transparent procurement process (may include RFI, RFP, etc.) that delivers best value with integrity and meets all ethical standards
- Maintains a disciplined application of standard work including standard operating procedures, tools, etc. to achieve objectives and final deliverables within a finite timescale and budget.
- Assists in building tools and dashboards to continue improving strategic sourcing and organization workflow using lean methodologies for efficiency, time management and tracking.
- Motivates and empowers teams; coaches, develops and assesses team members to improve performance and prepares individuals for growth opportunities and advancement; helps fulfill career objectives.
- Responsible for all aspects of employee management including hiring, compensation, performance, succession planning, etc.
- Promotes adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulations; provides guidance when difficult decisions need to be made.

Education
Bachelor's Degree- (Required)Experience
