Dispatch Monitor Security
Job Summary
Provides security dispatching, alarm monitoring, access control monitoring, CCTV monitoring, customer service, and office support to meet the needs of the Security Services Department.
Job Duties
- Performs security dispatching and monitoring services for the Security Services Department.
- Coordinates and answers security calls and inquiries; advises and answers questions about policies and procedures; makes referrals as appropriate.
- Answers the telephone for Security Services Department.
- Dispatches security resources to meet calls for service needs.
- Handles walk in customer issues at the Security Office.
- Redirects individuals to appropriate resources.
- Maintains confidentiality of all department matters.
- Maintains detailed reports and logs of services provided.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
- Alerts key staff to priority events in a timely emergent manner.
- Works independently with limited supervision.
- Operates office equipment; fax machine, security radio system, telephone, copier, and personal computer.
- Monitors and operates employee ID badge and access control assignment and control systems.
- Monitors and operates security camera and monitoring system.
- Monitors and operates fire and security alarm systems.
- Works effectively as a team member of the Security Services Department to meet the needs of the customer.
- Maintains continual coverage of the monitoring station.
- Vacates station only upon proper authorized relief.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)Experience
