Experience Design Fellowship (On-site)
Job Summary
This position sits within the Steele Institute for Health Innovation - advancing a digital first future and strengthening the organization’s position as a leader in healthcare innovation. The Steele Institute is transforming healthcare to better serve our communities through the application of digital capabilities, human-centered design and new care delivery models with a focus on affordability and outcomes to help those most in need. Leveraging a team of teams approach, we practice radical collaboration to scale agile ways of working and deliver highly adopted, high impact experiences. The Experience Design Fellowship is an 18-month management track position. The fellowship will engage an individual through the Steele Institute for Health Innovation at Geisinger as well as strategy and solution development with a focus on the application of human-centered design in healthcare transformation. The Design Fellow will be responsible for interacting with a business or product with a keen focus on the customer to create a simple, unified experience that helps them achieve their goal. The Fellow will be independently responsible for leading projects that support the goals and objectives of Geisinger. Goals and expectations will be clearly defined at ¬¬the initiation of the program. This position has the opportunity to not only be a part of the Geisinger Fellowship program, that includes Operations, Finance and Research but to also be immersed in Geisinger’s rich innovative culture to transform the delivery of care and patient experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship (including but not limited to H-1B, J-1 and OPT visas) is currently not available for this position.
Job Duties
Plan and conduct user research that include interviewing, data analysis and synthesis.
Translate insights from research into project strategy and product/service offerings.
Develop journey maps, service blueprints and personas based on user research.
Advocate for customer needs through storytelling, including writing, visual and verbal communication that helps other teams build empathy for current experiences.
Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops for solution ideation, organizational alignment and strategy development.
Communicate complex concepts and ideas into impactful insights, frameworks and narratives using information design.
Develop rough interactive prototypes for product development and testing.
Use appropriate software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Mural etc. to create quality deliverables.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals holding positions at various levels of the organization and work effectively with a wide range of professionals/disciplines.
Participate in organizational leadership meetings that include operations, finance, strategy etc.
Evangelize and promote the value of human-centered design in the context of healthcare.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Education
Masters Degree required or current enrollment in and good standing with a CAHME accredited Masters Degree conferring program- (Required), Master's Degree-Business Administration/Healthcare Management (Preferred)Skills
