Job Summary
Provides locksmith services.
Job Duties
- Provides installation, maintenance and repair of doors, door frames, door hardware and all types of mechanical and electronic locking systems.
- Cuts new keys.
- Opens conventional and electronic locks, and safes.
- Regularly inspects and adjusts fire-rated door assemblies to assure compliance with the Life Safety Code (NFPA 0), the Standard for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives (NFPA 80) and the rules promulgated by the PA Dept.
- of Health and The Joint Commission.
- Makes the initial diagnosis of door and hardware problems on door assemblies equipped with powered operators and coordinates their resolution with the applicable vendors.
- Makes the initial diagnosis of door locking and opening problems on doors assemblies connected to the appropriate Security System.
- Installs, maintains and repairs specialized locking systems on regulated medication cabinets and other high security areas.
- Maintains and repairs linen chute charging and discharge doors.
- Maintains accurate records of the key control system.

Position Details
Professional Locksmith Course must be completed within one year of hire.
