Job Summary

A clinical simulation program provides a realistic, controlled environment where healthcare professionals can practice and refine their skills. It uses advanced technology and scenarios to provide real-life medical situations to enhance both technical and decision-making abilities without risk to actual patients. This approach helps improve patient safety and care quality. The Manager Education provides accreditation oversight, program development, operational leadership, and staff support. Responsible for developing and initiating improvements to programs, policies, and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Manages the budget, staff, and administrative functions within specific areas of Education.
  • Supports, facilitates, and documents committee activities within specific areas of Education.
  • Enhances interprofessional education opportunities for healthcare teams throughout Geisinger.
  • Develops and implements content, programming, and evaluation to support faculty in the effective delivery of the curriculum and for the improved learning outcomes for students, residents, and fellows.
  • Develops and implements curriculum.
  • Supports the implementation of programs and events for all educators across the system, including degree granting, clinical, and research faculty. Ensure professional development for educational leaders across Geisinger.
  • Evaluate and assess the impact of educational programs and facilitate changes as required for further development.
  • Establish and administer policies and procedures within specific areas of Education.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with other educational organizations and accreditation bodies.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reporting on the effectiveness and quality of activities.
  • Participates as a member of the Education Leadership Team.

Education

Bachelor's Degree- (Required), Master's Degree- (Preferred)

Experience
