Manager Innovation Operations
Job Summary
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Steele Institute for Health Innovations. Plan, direct, and partner with institute leaders on innovation program development and performance improvement. Working under the direction of leadership, design, implement, manage and measure the results of a variety of programs and initiatives essential to the growth of the platform. Provide project management guidance for Steele Institute initiatives to pillars, enabling strategies, operations staff, interns and administrative fellows. Acts as member of the leadership team, participating in platform leadership meetings, providing regular updates on operational initiatives, and taking initiative to participate on a variety of teams and committees.
Job Duties
- Provides administrative leadership support to direct leaders and platform leadership team related to areas of assigned responsibility.
- Serves as Institute liaison with outside constituents and as an active participant in assigned management forums.
- In partnership the leadership team, develops a strategic plan for Steele Institute including the development and fostering of a "culture of innovation" throughout the system at all levels.
- Supports clinical and business units in new product and service initiatives. Demonstrates a wide-range of health innovation expertise which includes ability of technology translation, innovation process skills, ability to manage teams and finance/budgeting ability.
- In collaboration with platform leadership, oversees, implements and monitors the strategic initiatives for patient experience and quality.
- Develops business plans for new services and operational areas in assigned area of responsibility (i.e. budgets, facilities & capital analysis, market analysis, growth plans, operational contingency plans).
- Interfaces with service lines to ensure that platform capital project submissions are prioritized.
- Oversees the development and/or implementation of strategic and tactical operational plans related to initiatives in areas of responsibility.
- Provides operational guidance on project concepts suggested by leadership and by leaders of various departments.
- Monitors operating results and progress regarding to operational plans
- Support facility master planning for Steele Institute. Assesses space utilization. Triages requests from various groups for changes to their footprint and ensures allotted space is appropriate based on planned program growth or contraction.
- Promotes and coaches a “cost conscious” approach to resource utilization that encourages staff participation and establishes accountability.
- Identifies opportunities and plans approaches for improved resource utilization
- Ensures that costs are monitored and evaluated and prepares action plans for improvement.
- In conjunction with the Sr. Director, responsible for the financial performance of all assigned areas.
