Manager, Learning Design - Remote (Eastern/Central Time Zones)
Job Summary
Leads the design, delivery, and optimization of the organization’s learning ecosystem, with primary ownership of the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning design standards. This role oversees the LMS team and leaders responsible for individual contributor learning programs, including new hire orientation and School at Work (SAW). Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure learning solutions align with enterprise priorities and support system-wide workforce development. Expertise in learning technologies, governance models, and organizational consulting, with the ability to solve complex problems across both the Workday ecosystem and broader organizational structures.
Job Duties
- Lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of the Learning Management System (LMS), such as Workday Learning.
- Oversee LMS configuration, integrations, system updates, and release management in partnership with HRIS and IT.
- Ensure LMS data integrity, reporting accuracy, system performance, and user experience across the enterprise.
- Leverage analytics and reporting to monitor utilization, compliance, and learning effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain enterprise learning governance frameworks, including standards, processes, and workflows.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across the learning ecosystem to ensure clarity and accountability.
- Develop and enforce policies for content quality, lifecycle management, and vendor utilization.
- Drive consistency and scalability of learning solutions across clinical, operational, and administrative functions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of LMS administrators, instructional designers, and program leaders.
- Provide oversight for key individual contributor learning programs, including new hire orientation and School at Work (SAW).
- Align onboarding and workforce development programs with enterprise talent strategy and employee experience goals.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, IT, operations, clinical education) to identify needs and deliver scalable learning solutions.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on learning technologies, instructional design, and workforce development initiatives.
- Establish and uphold standards for instructional design, blended learning, and digital learning experiences aligned with adult learning principles.
- Diagnose complex system and organizational challenges, driving continuous improvement in learning processes, workflows, and user experience.

Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience in Learning & Development, including LMS leadership and program oversight
- Experience managing enterprise learning programs such as onboarding and career pathways
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives
- Strong consulting, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or other complex, regulated environments
- Knowledge of Workday Learning configuration, reporting, and integrations
- Experience leading enterprise onboarding or workforce development programs
- Experience building governance models in large, matrixed organizations
Education
Bachelor's Degree- (Required), Master's Degree- (Preferred)Experience
