Medical Physics Assistant
Job Summary
The Medical Physics Assistant performs tasks in support of the Medical Physicists in the Department of Radiation oncology. This will include conducting QC measurements of linear accelerators as well as (non)radiation emitting imaging systems. Work conducted by the medical physics assistant will be under the supervision of a qualified medical physicist.
Job Duties
- Assists in the development and implementation of new technologies and processes.
- Gathering of measurement data and/or the evaluation and verification of new technologies.
- Performs validation measurements for new technology and processes.
- Performs clinical quality assurance (QA) measurements, including patient specific QA.
- Maintain detailed records of test and verification measurements.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervising qualified medical physicist.

Position Details
- This role is expected to work on-site, primarily located in Danville, PA, with potential assignment(s) at satellite sites.
- Master's degree in physics, engineering, applied science. Possess an understanding of clinical radiation therapy, clinical physics and/or dosimetry.
