Job Summary

The co-op program is an educational work experience for the high school student. The individual is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of tasks.

Job Duties

The primary function of this position is to assist the team in a non-clinical setting. This opportunity is available to a student who seeks a challenge and wants to gain a solid knowledge and hands on experience.


Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details

Applicants with demonstrated experience and extracurriculars in marketing, communications and/or digital technologies are preferred.
 

Application deadline is March 17th, 2025.

Co-op will run from Sept 2, 2025 to approximately May 1, 2026. Student will be expected to work 10-15 hours a week with a mix of in-office time at Geisinger's Danville Mill Street Office and remote work.
 

Get ready for an awesome opportunity to dive into Geisinger’s employee website, OurGeisinger. You’ll learn how to use Microsoft SharePoint, the software behind our intranet. We'll guide you through training sessions and best practices, showing you how to use different web parts in this plug-and-play software. 
 

You'll get hands-on experience by building copies of real site pages as practice. Then, you'll team up with a 'client' to create a website based on their real-life needs. This will teach you the importance of listening to the client's needs – an important business skill. 
 

You'll use what you learned to make recommendations to the client, focusing on a content-first strategy where the content drives the design of the site. After getting their feedback, you'll complete the site. Along the way, you'll learn about governance, search, and tagging. Finally, we'll check out analytics reports to see the impact of our work. 
 

In addition to having specific job responsibilities during the duration of the internship, you will also be provided additional exposure opportunities across the department, to learn how branding, design, content marketing, multimedia teams, public relations and marketing and health plan sales strategies are managed.
