Job Summary

Responsible for design, implementation and monitoring of Enterprise Pharmacy growth and Improvement Program. Directs and leads initiatives to ensure support from all health system operational/clinical departments in order to meet strategic business objectives and regulatory requirements such as clinical improvement programs, operation and financial performance improvement, process improvement and the annual evaluation of Geisinger Pharmacy performance. Conducts due diligence on pharmacy related digital health applications for potential funding, collaboration, and integration opportunities across the system. Responsible for leading Enterprise Pharmacy innovations, identification of gaps in services, impact opportunity, and preparation of actual business plans to support the mission of Pharmacy.

Job Duties

  • Identifies opportunities for operation and financial improvement and drives associated improvement initiatives
  • Conducts health economics and outcome research on the effectiveness of novel treatments, technology, or interventions in coordination with pharmacy data analytics team and clinical stakeholders
  • Leads design, planning, and implementation of workforce and geographic expansion
  • Internal stakeholder and external partner/client management
  • Leads technology selection, strategy, and implementation activities
  • Provides administrative oversight of all quality and process improvement initiatives that assure access to high quality pharmaceutical care, clinical best practice guidelines, contribution margin impact, and alignment to relevant disruptive technology trends.
  • Leads project teams and in development of effective work plans for defined project implementation.
  • Leads development of Carepaths based on published and generated scientific evidence
  • Analyze operational and financial performance of medication Carepaths
  • Publish findings on effectiveness of novel treatments, technology, intervention, or medication Carepaths in peer-reviewed journals
  • Coordinates all external health system business development and payer network development for associated distribution channel and/or Carepath
  • Develop economic models to assess the impact of novel pharmaceutical treatments or technology

Education

Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Required), Master's Degree- (Preferred)

Experience

Minimum of 4 years-Related work experience (Required)
