Physician Breast Surgery
Job Summary
Geisinger is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Breast Surgeon to join our established, multidisciplinary, NAPBC-accredited breast program at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology; however, experienced breast surgeons with a demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary breast care are encouraged to apply.
Job Duties
POSITION HIGHLIGHS
- Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
- Established, high-volume breast surgery practice with a strong regional referral base
- NAPBC-accredited program within the Geisinger Cancer Institute
- Collaborative team including breast imaging, medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pathology, genetics, APPs, and nurse navigators
- Full spectrum of benign and malignant breast disease with oncoplastic and hidden-scar approaches
- Predominantly operative practice with strong APP support
- No general surgery call
- Fully integrated Epic electronic medical record

Academic Opportunities
Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine offers opportunities for teaching and mentoring general surgery residents and medical students. Faculty appointment is available. Candidates with interests in clinical research, quality improvement, innovation, and program development will find strong institutional support.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology preferred
- Experienced breast surgeons without fellowship training will be considered
