Precision Health Associate
Job Summary
Performs selected activities for a research projects including subject recruitment, data entry and data collection activities guided by written protocols. Approaches patients at clinical visits, community events or employee events regarding participation in research studies. May be assigned multiple clinics to cover and will be directed depending on clinic flow and recruitment opportunity. Depending on location assigned, may assist clinic office flow by: registering patients, rooming patients, verifying lab orders and checking out patients in an effective and efficient manner for the department.
Job Duties
- Follow study protocol and procedures to determine subject eligibility, including conducting electronic medical record review.
- May be required to work on more than one study.
- Approaches eligible patients to obtain consent to participate in the research study; this may occur in clinical waiting rooms, patient rooms, or during events.
- Assists with data collection activities including subject recruitment, contact and follow-up.
- Conducts data entry and updates computer files used for project monitoring and data collection.
- Assists in all recruitment activities associated with Precision Health projects at Geisinger.
- Attends regular meetings and provides feedback and suggestions of how to improve flow and uptake of the project within a clinic.
- Perform clinic office staff activities as required by the predetermined and approved research workflow within a clinic.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required), Associate's Degree- (Preferred)Experience
