Supervisor HVAC
Job Summary
Supervises section personnel and oversees the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration and allied systems and equipment.
Job Duties
- Supervises section personnel.
- Assigns work.
- Inspects work in progress or upon completion to ensure that all work meets quality standards and time schedule.
- Acts as resource for section personnel.
- Provides information concerning policy or procedure changes.
- Promotes safety.
- Conducts training.
- Completes performance evaluations and handles disciplinary actions.
- Interviews candidates and provides input regarding selection.
- Oversees employee orientation.
- Conducts inspections of facilities to ensure that all systems and equipment are in proper operating condition and that procedures are being followed.
- Prepares estimates of labor and material for projects and jobs.
- Reviews completed work orders.
- Maintains section records.
- Completes reports.
- Maintains repair parts inventory.
- Submits purchase requisitions to supervisor.
- Works with Manager in planning and coordinating responsibilities of the section.
- Tracks daily budget activities.
- Provides input for budget planning.
- Acts as liaison with equipment manufacturer when outside personnel are involved in expansion, modification or repair of equipment.
