Technical Analyst Senior
Job Summary
Responsible for analyzing and responding to user requested new development and system modifications. Designs technical solutions to information problems. Performs technical tasks related to project completion, including problem analysis, program development and testing, documentation, and implementation.
Job Duties
- Assists in coordinating user departmental requirements with other I.T. functional areas, including but not limited to, requests for enterprise sign-owns, interfaces, and technical and networking support.
- Reports project progress and activity to a higher level technical analysts or management designate.
- Supports IT departmental initiatives such as OS migrations and internet browser upgradient.
- Responsible for developing programming skills where applicable.
- Prepares operational documentation for Data Center and IT HelpDesk operations.
- Develops and documents restart and recovery procedures.
- Responsible for production support of assigned I.T. applications, which could be twenty-four hours per day and seven days per week, at all required supported locations: provides I.T. support to various departments.
- Installs, maintains, and upgrades assigned application software as required.
- Develops test plans, creates, and modifies program code , assists users in development of test scripts, prior to system and release implementations.
- Works with departmental and division management to develop and implement Information Technology strategies.
- Mentors and reviews work of less experienced team members, insuring service level to user departments and system.
- Responsible for vendor management, which includes but is not limited to, contract negotiation, invoice reconciliation, release updates, issues lists, and new product evaluations.
