Job Summary

As a senior healthcare executive responsible for overseeing operations and advancement of Emergency Medicine Services including air and ground services, Patient Placement Services, and Telemedicine. The goal of this role is to ensure quality patient care, quality improvement, and financial performance while adhering to regulatory standards and achieve organizational goals.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for all operational activities and functions within the following areas of responsibility; Emergency Medicine Services including air and ground services, Patient Placement Services, and Telemedicine
  • Leads and manages the business affairs of the assigned areas of responsibility including problem solving and performance standard development.
  • Effectively communicates vision, goals and initiatives at the department level.
  • Utilizes team building concepts to effectively empower team members by serving as a mentor, teacher and coach.
  • Leads the development of ongoing services and expansion of Telehealth and EMS services.
  • Develops and implements strategic and tactical business plans, including contingency plans
  • Responsible for budget development and oversight.
  • Supports regulatory requirements
  • Leverages health information technology and workflows to ensure value-based outcomes, and effective, efficient and cost-effective use of resources in order to maintain a productive environment.
  • Develops and monitors service line specific metrics to aid in monitoring and achieving desired performance levels.
  • Provides direction to, holds accountable, develops and evaluates staff in their performance of all goals and objectives of the service line and in conjunction with the medical directors.
  • Evaluates regularly the effectiveness of the service line organization and implements changes as necessary to promote strategic and operational effectiveness.
  • Leads the process to build a leadership bench to assure leadership accountability is achieved and maintained.
  • Has administrative accountability for managing resources against benchmark and developing/managing the system-wide care management budget.


Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details

Candidate may sit in any Geisinger region. Role requires onsite presence and travel throughout the system.

Education

Master's Degree-Related Field of Study (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 10 years-Managerial/Supervisory (Required), Minimum of 10 years-Healthcare (Required)
