RN - Program Manager Registered Nurse - Trauma Center
Job Summary
Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the hospital's trauma program. Works in partnership with the Trauma Medical Director. Prior experience with trauma patients or ED is required. Provide day-to-day oversight, including administration, implementation, supervision, communication and strategy of the assigned nursing specialty area(s)/programs. Organizes programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Develops new programs or expands and manages existing programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Implements and manages changes and interventions to ensure program goals and initiatives are achieved.
Job Duties
- Ensures compliance with standards established by professional nursing organizations; national, state, and local regulatory agencies; and institutional policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative and staff support to promote the operations of the designated program.
- Develops, implements, and maintains the philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards for the care of patients.
- Provides interpretation of the regulatory standards and/or program protocols.
- Develops, reviews, and updates policies and standards of care as appropriate to maintain optimal patient care.
- Provides education and support to staff and ad hoc committees as needed.
- Participates in research projects and promotes the development of the program.
- Facilitates actualization of shared governance and practice level advancement of area personnel.
- Manages a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Ensures goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
