Student Desk Clerk Library
Job Summary
Staffs the Information Services Desk in the Medicine and Graduate Library during the evening and/or weekend hours as needed. Assists library clientele with their circulation, reference and technical needs and assists in resolving any library-related issues.
Job Duties
- Responds to client requests for directional, basic reference, and technical assistance; trains and assists clients with use of the catalog or subject databases;
- Performs procedures to open/close the information desk and the library facility
- Creates and maintains records of library materials and patrons
- Operates physical service point. Duties include circulating materials and assisting library clientele.
- Participates in maintenance of the library facility and equipment by monitoring the physical environment and equipment, reporting problems, and initiating safety procedures as needed
- Assists with projects to maintain the collections or systems of the library
