Job Summary

The Geisinger Heart Institute is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiology physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our growing pediatric and adult congenital cardiology department at Geisinger South Wilkes Barre located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Geisinger South Wilkes Barre clinic site offers pediatric and adult cardiology services, providing care for adult patients with congenital heart disease, and featuring non-invasive diagnostics like echocardiography and electrocardiography. Pediatric spaces were specifically designed to calm the youngest congenital-heart patients.

Travel to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania and other outreach clinic sites may be required for training purposes and clinic coverage.

The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Must be certified to work with all patient population age groups.
