Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Skilled Nursing - $25k Incentives
Job Summary
The Geisinger Skilled Nursing Program is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to 'float' to various skilled nursing facilities in northeast Pennsylvania.
Job Duties
This position is as a Geisinger provider in a non-Geisinger facility and requires an experienced advanced practitioner (AP), prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility, family medicine, internal medicine or ICU. The AP provides direct (hands-on) care in skilled nursing facilities with a goal to improve quality and prevent unnecessary re-admissions to the acute care setting.
This position has a $10,400 float differential and will travel to these locations, but are not limited to:
Mountain Top Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Mountain Top
Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke
Lakewood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Nanticoke
The Meadows, Dallas
Embassy of Wyoming Valley, Wilkes Barre,
Embassy of Scranton, Scranton
Oak Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Scranton

- Attractive schedule - Monday - Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm
- Rotating call schedule
- No weekend hours
- Continuing Medical Education – 10 days and $3,000 annually

Responsibilities:
- Review reports
- Communicate with SNF staff for patient needs
- Treat patients for acute needs, admissions, discharges, etc.
- Manage extremely complex patients, see every day or at least once a week
- Approximately 12 patients a day
- Length of time per patient and number of patients is per need
Education
Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)Certification(s) and License(s)
Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing BodySkills
