Drug, Nicotine, and Health Screenings

Drug, Nicotine, and Health Screenings

A scheduler from the Employee Health Department will contact you to set up your Employee Health Appointment. You will be required to pass an employee health screening, which includes all mandatory vaccinations. The drug screen is also required for credentialing.

MyChart

A MyChart link will be sent to the email you provided to Employee Health when you scheduled your appointment. Click the link to create an account, sign authorization forms, and learn what items you’re required to bring to your appointment.

Timing

Complete your MyChart account sign-up within 24 hours of scheduling your appointment or the link will expire. The results of your appointment must be completed and cleared before your start date.

General Background Check

New Hire Action

You will receive an email from applicationstation@certiphi.com with instructions for initiating and submitting your background check.

FBI Fingerprint Check

New Hire Action

Please use the fingerprint instructions link below and the Service Code and Authorization Code provided in this email to ensure you receive the correct clearance (PA Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance) and that it is paid by Geisinger.

Keep your receipt for the prints. View fingerprinting guide here

Submit Clearance

You will receive your clearance by email and/or mail. Please email your Onboarding Coordinator a scanned copy or photo of all clearance pages once received, as Geisinger does not receive a copy automatically.

Please note we cannot accept the U.S. Department of Justice fingerprint clearance for employment.

Technical Issues?

Call 1-855-845-7434 for help with technical issues regarding your fingerprint clearance.

If you don’t receive your clearance in the mail within two weeks of being fingerprinted, please call: 877-371-5422 and remain on the line until you can speak with someone from the Department of Human Services for an update. Do not hang up and call Identogo if prompted. If there is not an Identogo close to you, please ask your Onboarding Coordinator for an alternative option to obtain FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Workday Emails

Let’s keep this process moving! Prior to your start date, you will need to have your employee portal setup, so you can access our payroll system. We use a platform called Workday, which stores information like your direct deposit bank account numbers and healthcare benefits.

New Hire Action

Look out for an email from Workday to perform important tasks such as:

I-9 | Direct deposit | Elect benefits

If eligible for benefits, you have up until 30 days after your start date to elect.

Questions?

If you are having difficulty accessing Workday or have questions, please contact your Onboarding Coordinator.

Timing

I-9: Complete the portion of your I-9 available in Workday prior to your I-9 appointment.

Direct deposit: Complete prior to your start date.
