Application Developer IV (Salesforce and Epic)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Application Developer with deep expertise in marketing technology platforms, particularly Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing marketing workflows, customer data integration and harmonization, and campaign execution strategies and personalized digital experiences. This resource will also support Epic Cheers campaigns and corresponding CallHub call management configuration, to drive personalized outreach and engagement. While Epic analyst experience is preferred in the ideal candidate, it is not required. This posting reflects an opening for an Application Developer IV and we are seeking candidates for that position. Job Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and Email Studio.
- Integrate and manage customer data using Salesforce Data Cloud, ensuring accurate segmentation and personalization
- Build and optimize automated marketing dynamic content, workflows and triggered campaigns across multiple channels.
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to translate campaign requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Show a strong understanding of identity resolution principles and leverage behavioral data through personalization tools
- Develop and maintain APIs and data pipelines between Salesforce platforms and external systems including Epic, Mulesoft, AWS, Luma, etc.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide technical insights to improve effectiveness, such as enhancing website visitor capture.
- Participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud and Healthcloud
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
- Document technical solutions and provide training to team members.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Support the configuration and execution of Epic Cheers Campaigns, ensuring alignment with patient engagement strategies based on patient data, preferences, and engagement history.
- Iterate and maintain Epic CallHub and Next Best Actions to compliment patient engagement to enable coordinated outreach and tracking.

Position Details
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of experience in development
Strong understanding of developer best practices and Object-oriented programming
Experience with a variety of development tools and technologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Audience Builder.
Proficiency in Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly Customer Data Platform) for unifying customer profiles, segmentation, and real-time personalization.
Experience creating Boolean logic, conditional statements, and trigger criteria to define inclusion and exclusion criteria for audience building
Working knowledge of Epic Cheers CRM, with a focus on patient engagement workflows, campaign management, and integration with healthcare systems.
Experience designing and executing cross-channel marketing campaigns using first-party data and behavioral insights.
Strong understanding of data integration and synchronization between Epic, Salesforce, and external Martech platforms.
Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant marketing practices and patient data privacy regulations.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, marketing, and clinical operations to drive personalized engagement strategies.
Experience with APIs and Web Services (REST/SOAP/Bulk), ETL tools, or middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, AWS Glue) for data flow between Epic and Salesforce ecosystems.
Prior experience in healthcare marketing or patient engagement is highly desirable.
Desired Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Salesforce and/or Epic development
Digital healthcare knowledge, especially Health insurance (Payor) business domain knowledge is an immense value add
Experience with any Epic applications (Cadence, Ambulatory, Resolute, etc) with Certification or Proficiency credentials is a plus.
Experience with Managed package and unlocked package development.
Experience with Lightning Components, Design System, APEX Classes, SOQL, SOSL, Triggers, Aura, and Flow.
Experience with Salesforce Tableau CRM (Einstein Analytics) and Vlocity Omnistudio product suit implementation experience.
Certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant or Salesforce Data Cloud Specialist is a plus.
