Associate Vice President - Behavioral Health
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health leader to join our outpatient team. Geisinger has made a significant investment in growth in the continuum of Behavioral Health services. With 155,000 annual outpatient visits delivered through telehealth and in person modalities, our team is seeking a leader who can help us transform our services to expand the community impact, while maintaining quality of care. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of outpatient behavioral health services in 33 primary care and behavioral health locations across the Geisinger service area. The AVP Behavioral Health ensures the business units’ goals and objectives are aligned with the organization’s broader mission, vision, and strategies. You will foster and support the creation of new outpatient models of care to augment and evolve existing health programs and products. You will manage all fiscal and administrative aspects of outpatient behavioral health services.
Job Duties
Responsible for operational activities and functions within behavioral health outpatient services.
Directly support functions for providers integrated into primary & specialty care & behavioral health settings.
Responsible for the overall operation and growth of the business units, in conjunction with physician leadership of the assigned business units.
Develops and implements business unit policies and procedures in conjunction with physician leadership of the assigned business units.
Establish long-range objectives and monitors financial performance of the business units with the physician leaders of the assigned business units.
Ensures effective, efficient, and cost-effective use of non-clinical resources in order to maintain a productive environment.
Provides direction to, holds accountable, develops, and evaluates non-clinical staff in their performance of all goals and objectives of the business units and the organization.
Evaluates regularly the effectiveness of the business units’ organization and implements changes as necessary to promote strategic and operational effectiveness.
Develops and maintains effective liaison with management, physicians, patients, and employees.
Understands, supports, and participates in information technology, development, marketing, and public relations initiatives for the business unit and system.
Provides administrative support to achieve the objectives of medical education and clinical research.
Serves as a liaison with community and governing authorities.
Serves as facilitator and point person for the assigned business units.

Position Details
The ideal candidate will have experience leading care model transformation initiatives and managing distributed teams.
Approximately 25% travel within the Geisinger service area is required.
Education
Bachelor's Degree- (Required), Master's Degree- (Preferred)Experience
