Business Analyst Senior
Job Summary
The Information Technology Program Management Office (IT PMO) is responsible for IT Demand Management, IT Project Management and IT Resource Management within the Geisinger Health organization. The Business Analyst Senior is responsible for accurately documenting workflow, processes, business rules, data, systems, and other business information required for a clear picture of the business. Coordinates the development, documentation, analysis, and review of business requirements. Apply business rules, processes, and workflow to the use of new or redesigned solutions.
Job Duties
- Defines business view of solution scope as well as a scope that is feasible.
- Performs stakeholder analysis to identify and determine stakeholder needs.
- Manages baseline and changes to requirements.
- Plans and estimates business analyst activities, communications, and requirements management process.
- Defines business need and capability gaps driving the need for an enhancement or solution to be developed.
- Plans requirements elicitation activities and documents and validates elicitation results.
- Prioritizes requirements according to the project and stakeholder needs.
- Determines solution alternatives and assess for feasibility, risk, business value, and defines the approach selected.
- Translates business specifications into clear and concise functional specifications for use by developers and configuration specialists.
- Specifies and models requirements in visual and textual formats at various levels of abstraction.
- Validates requirements, assumptions, and constraints with stakeholders.
- Verifies requirements of sufficient quality with stakeholders.
- Allocates requirements based on project and solutions needs.
- Evaluates and validates the solution meets the business needs of the stakeholders.
