Job Duties
Your Role:
- Focused Research: Engage in detailed studies within the cerebrovascular domain, applying your expertise to advance ongoing projects. Your contributions will play a crucial role in our continuous quest for knowledge.
- Data Analysis and Protocol Development: Interpret research data to inform future studies, develop research protocols, and work under the guidance of principal scientists to shape the direction of investigations.
- Collaborative Environment: Begin with mentorship from experienced faculty and have the opportunity for growth. As your skills develop, your role may evolve to include mentoring peers and leading aspects of research projects.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Medical degree or doctoral degree (MD, PhD) or equivalent.
- Proven track record of publications as a first or senior author.
- Experience in data analysis and protocol development, including independent statistical analysis. Versatility with statistical software, such as R, SPSS, MATLAB, SAS, STATA, MedCalc, or GraphPad Prism, is essential.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

A remote mentored research opportunity is available for qualified candidates interested in participating in Geisinger's cerebrovascular research projects. Virtual fellows may engage in various activities, including research and project design, literature reviews, statistical analysis, writing, and graphical design. Please note that virtual fellows will not hold an official affiliation with Geisinger, and no access to electronic health records or protected health information will be provided. This opportunity serves as a valuable introduction to the program and may serve as a potential pathway toward a future cerebrovascular fellow position.
