Marketing Coordinator
Job Summary
Responsible for member communications, including newsletters and web/social content. Writing, communication skills, and print production experience required. Participates in and quality improvement work groups. Responsible for developing, writing, and producing publications in support of mission and goals of Geisinger.
Job Duties
- Implements marketing plans by preparing marketing materials and coordinating distribution.
- Creates and distributes materials.
- Tailors oral and written communications according to the audience.
- Serves as managing editor and writer for member, employer, and provider newsletters, which includes soliciting guest editors, maintaining editorial standards and managing production.
- Establishes and maintains marketing budgets for assigned projects.
- Tracks and reports on return on investment as appropriate.
- Creates layout for projects.
- Reviews and selects photographs for use in publications.
- Coordinates printing and distribution of projects.
- Responsible for vendor relationship management, including direct project coordination with newsletter agencies, external printers, graphic artists, photographers, etc.
- as needed.
- Also responsible for contract negotiations and oversight.
- Develops and oversees tracking accountability methods for projects.
- Uses these evaluations to determine future direction; Respond to indicators.
- Supports media relations by preparing news releases as needed.
- Provides support to managed care public relations efforts as needed.
- Assists with creation of press releases.
- Works cooperatively with digital marketing specialist and social media team on all aspects of social media campaigns, paid promotions and contests including strategy, new initiative development, content, spend and budget tracking, and analytics.
- Responsible for content generation and posting and promotion on social media sites.
- Maintains social media content planning calendar.
- Contributes to internal communications strategy development, working with leadership and stakeholders to develop appropriate messaging.
- Prepares information for internal communications vehicles as appropriate.
- Creates and distributes finalized communications.
- Ensures consistency and style guidelines are followed among printed materials, group packets, Web site content, letters, brochures, etc.
- Serves as an editing resource to other marketing staff and consultants, ensuring consistency with the style guide among all materials and departments.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details
- Provides support to internal clients and helps develop results-driven communications materials. This role will support the planning and creation of external and internal communication including but not limited to strategic plans, news releases, executive communications, media pitches and media interviews, messaging guidance, presentations, internal announcements and more.
- Provides in-person support for community engagement events across Geisinger’s clinical footprint (Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania).
- This position is primarily performed remotely within Pennsylvania, with occasional travel for media interviews and community events.”
