Nurse Practitioner Neonatology
Job Summary
Geisinger is seeking an experienced NP to join our NICU team at the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. The Janet Weis Children’s Hospital is the tertiary care Pediatric Center for Geisinger Health System. Job Duties
Flexible shifts – 10, 12, 16 hours
41 bed, Level IV NICU
2,000 deliveries annually
No outpatient clinic
Position Details
Attending deliveries/delivery room management of any infants born in a high-risk category including pre-term birth and other complications affecting pregnancy
Admissions including history and physical
Assessments and ongoing management of current NICU patients
Ground and air transports
Intubation
Central line placement
Chest tubes
Arterial puncture
Arterial line placement
Ventilator management
Whole body cooling for HIE
Others as applicable
Education
Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required)Certification(s) and License(s)
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania; Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse PractitionersSkills
