Program Director Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Job Summary
Responsible for administering education for Primary Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program. Maintains program accreditation by satisfying Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology Education standards, supervising, instructing, and evaluating students, coordinating all program activities, and overseeing Clinical Instructor activities. Maintains close relationship with affiliates through joint collaboration.
Job Duties
- Responsible for planning, directing, and administering the program based on Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology Education standards and sound educational processes.
- Responsible for complying with the terms of affiliates’ programming and Geisinger collaborative agreements, and any other requirements to comply with the state system of higher learning.
- Assists affiliate programs’ administrators as requested.
- Responsible for, or coordinates course outline, goals, and objectives development.
- Recommends and procures instructional materials and aids for the school and instructors.
- Delivers classroom instruction and demonstrates technical aspects and theory in clinical or laboratory settings.
- Evaluates and supports instructors.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology Education accreditation, and the program's assessment plan.
- Plans and oversees accreditation site visits.
- Coordinates Advisory Committee activities.
- Responsible for counseling and assisting students.
- Maintains the order and confidentiality of student educational records.
- Oversees student compliance with policies and procedures.
- Serves as the first level of management in resolving student concerns, and responsible for coordinating the student concern and grievance resolution process.
- Responsible for the candidate interview and student selection processes.
- Serves as a liaison between Geisinger and other educational programs in all matters related to coordinating student clinical observations.
- Oversees the coordination and process of observations.
- Provides career presentations representing radiologic technology.
- Provides guidance and assistance to department and Geisinger leadership.
- Supports Radiology's quality and safety processes.
- In conjunction with the School of Medical Imaging Director, VP-System Radiology and affiliates, plans program budget including tuition revenue, expenses, and philanthropic and grant funding opportunities.
- Harbor strong clinical understanding of modality to ensure safety is maintained.

Education
Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required), Master's Degree- (Required), Master's Degree-Education (Preferred)Experience
Minimum of 2 years-JRCERT-Accredited Program Instructor (Required), Minimum of 3 years-Clinical (Required)Certification(s) and License(s)
