Job Summary
Geisinger Gastroenterology is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our team at the Geisinger Multi Specialty Clinic in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties
Join an established team of physicians, APs, and nursing staff.
This position will perform in collaboration with the physician, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to assure that patient care is delivered in a caring and efficient manner throughout Geisinger in an effort to increase patient satisfaction and patient outcomes. Assists in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the physician. Functions as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families and physicians.
Reports clinically to the Director of GI and administratively to GI Chief Advanced Practitioner.

Education
Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred)Certification(s) and License(s)
Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing BodySkills
