Job Summary
Full Time 7am – 3:30pm; REQUIRES: Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.), 7 years relevant experience (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years), 3 years management/supervision experience
Job Duties
Provides programmatic supervision of neurodiagnostic testing and monitoring. Assists in program advancement, personnel management, quality assessment and assurance, operational and financial direction of diagnostic services.
Assists with the establishment, implementation and maintenance of objectives and treatment protocols within the Neurodiagnostic department.
- Administers and maintains departmental policies, procedures and methodologies.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Coordinates the integration of departmental programs and projects with other departments or areas.
- Reports to the director of employee’s input, feedback, annual performance reviews and development processes.
- Performs appropriate orientation for new employees.
- Requires the ability to handle discretionary information and to answer questions in the absence of the director.
- Assists in communication program objectives.
- Coordinates programs and projects by establishing protocols, objectives and monitoring and revising policies and procedures.
- Ensures an open communication and feedback system with the Neurodiagnostic Director.
- Assists in the implementation and review of the continuous process improvement, processes that includes record review, staff training and development and successful monitoring and documentation of employee competency.
- Ensures that staff documentation is consistent and standardized in accordance with departmental expectations.
- Provides and supports the training and orientation of students, team members and others.
- Requires participation in ongoing departmental education and in-service programs to maintain clinical knowledge and skills.
- Plans and coordinates in-service training programs.
- Assists with orientation and competency evaluation of staff working in neurophysiology.
- Participates in or conducts regular team meetings to keep staff informed of department and hospital activities as assigned.
- Supports clinical Neurodiagnostic research activities as assigned including consenting patients for studies when appropriate and evaluating new equipment in the clinical setting.
- Builds the breadth and depth of the institution’s people capability and professionalism including supporting top-performing people and taking a personal interest in coaching and mentoring high-potential leaders.
- Participates in clinical process improvement and the implementation of activities that reduce cost while maintaining or improving the quality of care.
- Maintains current skills as they directly relate to modalities overseen and daily responsibilities and procedures.
- Is responsible for the performance assessment and improvement of Neurodiagnostic staff as assigned including data collection and assisting in ensuring regulatory compliance.
