Position Highlights:
- Sign-On Incentive: Up to $15,000 for qualified candidates
- Schedule: Full-time union position (36 hours weekly)- 12-hours shifts, evenings; hours 9:00 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. There is a potential for weekend and holiday coverage in the future.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- A minimum of 2 years of RN work experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on the assessment, planning, and delivery of specialized care for patients with integumentary system disorders, including wounds, pressure injuries, ostomies, and continence issues. The ideal candidate will be a clinical expert who promotes patient safety, satisfaction, and optimal healing outcomes through collaborative, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments in alignment with nursing scope of practice.
- Address the physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the care continuum.
- Serve as a clinical expert in wound, ostomy, and continence care, including pressure injury prevention and treatment.
- Develop individualized care plans with realistic and measurable goals, adjusting as needed.
- Deliver direct patient care and provide consultations for complex skin integrity issues.
- Collaborate proactively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and care management to ensure continuity of care.
- Lead initiatives to improve clinical outcomes and best practices in wound care.
- Participate in committees, quality improvement projects, and the development of educational materials.
- Evaluate home care readiness and coordinate discharge planning with patients, families, and care teams.
- Provide guidance to hospital committees on wound care standards and protocols.
- Demonstrate proficiency in relevant clinical equipment and technologies.
