Supervisor Medication Access
Job Summary
The supervisor of the Central Med Hub will have leadership responsibilities for all Medication Access Coordinators and be responsible for managing staff. The Supervisor will also oversee speaking to clinic staff when necessary to ensure the department process continues to be followed.
Job Duties
- Ensure all pools and work queues are worked accordingly and kept up to date
- Reviews employee schedules to ensure coverage
- Monitors and reports out staff metrics in a written/verbal report to leadership
- Reviews and recommends process improvements for individuals and department workflows
- Able to implement process/workflow changes to department
- Responsible to respond to clinics to address concerns and inform of process
- Able to delegate tasks to staff members
- Participate in the onboarding and training of new personnel
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams as directed by pharmacy administrative team
- Able to cover multiple areas of the Central Med Hub
- Reviews denials and works continually to reduce denial rates through proactive measures such as reviewing formularies and new medications
- Responsible for managing team members to improve performance
- Capable of working with multiple pharmacy teams to increase utilization and adherence
